This mortar and pestle is one of many of our own antiques and collectibles we’re offering before a move this summer. Please –we’ve been since 1999 with rating.
This antique New England wood Mortar and Pestle is an honest working piece which was much used.
It shows many age cracks , wear, missing wood…and a repair to a piece which had broken off years ago before we got it. We’ve always handled the repaired section gently assuming it’s fragile and could break off, again.
Please see many photos which show condition.
However, it still shows nicely from most sidesand we’ve enjoyed displaying it in an old cupboard.
