History speaks for itself. The ES-335 is one of the most important
guitars of all time. Right from its introduction in 1958 as the world’s
first semi-hollowbody electric guitar it has been a mainstay of players

Gibson is actually being modest here. The ES-335 is the most versatile guitar ever designed. You can play any kind of music on these guitars. Rock out with your metal band on the weekends and do jazz gigs during the week. Your 335 has your back, from aggressive rock sounds to country twang to jazz and beyond. Untouchable. This is one of the few models that Gibson has made continuously since production began – that’s how great it is.
The serial number dates this guitar to 2004. I believe that this example has the stock ’57 Classic Humbucking pickups, although I have not tried to verify this. The neck profile is more of a 60s shape neck than a 50s neck. Nickel hardware throughout. Stock Grover tuners are awesome. Figured maple top and back with mahogany neck in gorgeous Gloss Antique Natural Finish. Wow. This guitar looks and sounds fantastic: this is a great 335. Buy it before I change my mind!
This guitar is in excellent+ condition, apart from some patina and oxidation on the nickel hardware. The oxidation is especially prevalent on the tuning machine buttons – there is even a little bit of green corrosion, see pictures. The aged hardware actually looks pretty cool, but it is obviously not new condition. The protective plastic is still on the pickguard. Please note that the glossy finish is very shiny and several of the photos show reflections as a result. I have tried to provide photos under different lighting conditions so that you can see just how great this guitar is. The finish is in excellent to mint condition. This guitar has no damage or repairs. No scratches or dings. No smells or stains. No funny business. Just pure expressive power.
The original black levant hardshell case with grey interior is included and is in . The satin shroud is still attached and is in excellent shape. There is some paperwork in the case pocket.
These continue to go up in price year after year. Gibson guitars are worth it. Here’s an opportunity to get a great deal on a truly fine example of a classic.
