Antique Vintage Oak wood Machinist Wood Tool Chest Box / MECHANICS TOOL CASE MFG CO. Toronto Ontario Canada / This looks like it dates back to around the early 1900’s. The man who had this is 86 years of age, and he said it was his dads, so this dates back. It has been sitting in the back of the garage, so I did put some Howard’s Bees Wax oil on it to bring it back to life the best I could. Two of the small drawers are sticky and hard to pull out, and The wood drawer side pieces might need some tightening with some glue. It has a Tag on the chest that I have pictured. As you can see in the 12 detailed pictures that the chest still needs some TLC. It is missing a knob or two on the drawers and the front two latches need to be replaced. I did find a company called the Machinist Chest that specializes with hard to find antique hardware for this style fo chest.The box measures 20 by 13 by 8 1/2 inches. It is very old, so please remember you will have to put some TLC in getting this back in operating order. This is a fresh find right out of a 65 year old garage, so check our other auctions for more goodies coming out of this garage.
