This auction is selling 2 Eames LCW, low lounge chair version.
Really early model, both has partial Herman Miller silver foil labels. One still have the oval single shock mount, the other one is broken and i sent it back to Herman Miller and has them professionally put back the two round shock mount(pic 4), I kept the repair label on the bottom on one chair (pic 8). Screws pattern is 4-2-5.
I have hard time to identify the wood, so i sent picture to Eames expert, he thinks that could be walnut. i don’t think is oak for sure. it has a slightly red tone on it. (pic 3 and 4)
Condition, both chairs has some really small chips, wood is quite dry overall. On the spin, both chairs has a light color wood laminated in between the darker wood, you will only find it in a real early version. i love that detail. (see pic 1 and 9)
One chair has some red stain in the front of the seat (pic 11) and really small stain on the back rest. The other one looks a bit dirty the seat surface. Some screws are oxidized.Beside the repair of the shock mouth on one chair, i didn’t do anything else on both chairs, so it is as original as it can get.
This is a pair for real Eames lovely, i personally prefer no heavy touch up and refinish model. and i think this is a pair that has great history.

I usually can disassemble chair for reducing shipping cost, but will not disassemble this pair, the screw is tight and seems like never been touch. and early version LCW has glue between parts, i don’t want to break anything. I may only remove the back rest to reduce the chance to damage on the shock mount. but as for now, my plan is to ship it as assemble.
