1813 War Battle Lake Erie USS Niagra Cane Walking Stick Oak Horn Antique Keifer

I have come across an extensive collection of antique walking sticks and canes and have listed several of them tonight.  Please view my other items for the others and save with combined shipping. 

&nbsp I am delighted to offer this original piece of American History.  This handsome cane has a carved Horn handle and original period 3 ½” long metal Ferrule.  The Sterling Silver band is engraved:

From what I can gather J. Warren Keifer was a General and the USS Niagara was sunk after the battle due to extensive damage. 

This rare historic cane measures approx. 33 ½” and is in Excellent condition with no breaks or repairs.  There is minor surface wear, as would be expected.  The Sterling band is approx. 1  5/8” and is hallmarked.
