An outstanding antique Hawaiian carved koa wood drop leaf table, measures 51 1/2″ wide with leaves open, 37 1/2″ deep x 28 3/4″ high on original brass castors, legs are hand turned and deeply carved with tropical leaf design, legs, top and leaves are of koa, the framework underneath is another wood, perhaps pine, original hand-wrought iron strap hinges, some original screws, some screws replaced, one missing, nicely fashioned double gate supports for leaves, one leaf with closed crack visible from underneath- see pic 9- not visible on top and structurally fine, the glare from the sky effects the look of the surface on a few pics, pic 1 shows the rich glow of this wood accurately, one leaf slightly sun faded from exposure (probably facing the window), a wonderful example of antique Hawaiian furniture making.
