Description : A substantial pair of antique 18-19th C. Chinese Hongmu hardwood yoke back arm chairs. The chairs are very well made with through tenon design. The chairs are nice big large sized chairs with even pleasant color to the wood. You can see the yoke back is quite shapely as well are the well scrolled arms. The base of the chair with nicely carved corbel decoration.
These chairs can be picked up for free, shipping to Massachusetts was calculated at about $375.00, to California they will cost about $450… there will be two packages each at about 45 lbs 26″ x 26″ x 56″ (oversized)
Foreign shipping overseas can run from $900-1250 via DHL…we can ship to an address in the USA for you!
Size : Each chair measures 49 1/2″ tall with a 18 1/2″ seat height. The width of seat is 22 1/4″ x 18″ deep. Overall with arms and shapely back the chair is 23 1/2″ wide x 20″ deep.

Condition : The chairs are in overall very good condition, expect the normal wear and tear a 200 year old set of chairs will have. They are very sturdy and of course from some shrinkage there are some joints that are a little loose, still very acceptable and very usable without question…there are some small joints that have been filled which you will see on a lot of furniture that is old like these…The photos show off the chairs nicely and represent exactly what you will receive.
