Greetings, up for auction is an Antique Musket Socket Bayonet. No finish remaining with pitting and scattered rust. Approx. 21″ overall with a blade length of approx. 18-1/2″. Muzzle Diameter is quite large being around .800″. Right side of neck are some cartouches that I cannot read, and the ricasso blade is marked, “TU”. There are other markings on the blade, but I cannot make it out. A very nice piece that warrants much more research.
