Antique Whalebone Scrimshaw Corset Busk Heavily Decorated Circa 1850

Antique This antique whale bone corset busk came to me along with a dated 1837 whales tooth.  The figures scrimshawed into this piece seem to go along with that date.  The man and woman figures at the top seem to be dancing and the inscription above them says ” MY BONNY LASS NOW TURN TO ME”. The next panel shows a lady leaving her house with a horse in the background and the saying “YES I WILL LEAVE MY FATHERS HALLS”. The next panel has a geometric circle with the Lords Prayer written around the circle and ending in the middle.  The next panel shows a man in fine dress saying “WAKE MY DEAREST WAKE”.  The next panel shows the lady standing next to a large anchor with the word “HOPE” above her. Below that is 2 potted plants and then a geometric circle.  This busk was obviously worn quite a bit as the central designs have worn and the ink has come out of the scratches that formed the designs. The busk is 13 inches long and 1 3/8 inches wide. The back has no designs. The initials at the top are A.E.C.. There is no reserve on this item and free shipping to U.S adresses.
