This is a Beautiful Vintage Hamilton 16 Size, 992,in a, very hard to find, Hamilton 14K gold filled, case #6, Railroad grade, Pocket Watch, with a really nice White, Porcelain double sunk HG = Heavy Gothic, Dial, with Steel Blue Hands and second hand. This is a Beautiful Lever Set/Stem wind pocket watch! I checked the time on this watch with the clock on my computer, and it is right on! It has not gained or lost a full minute in 24 hours! You really have to see this watch!!
The Movement reads, HAMILTON WATCH CO., 21 JEWELS, 992, 5 POSITIONS ADJUSTED, Serial number 2524293 = 1930 production date.The Jewels are set in gold cups, with a Beautiful Gold center wheel. As you can see in the pictures this is a beautiful movement!! This movement has been completely serviced. Also the case has been cleaned and polished inside and out, with a new glass crystal installed, so you don’t have to worry about the added expense of having any of this done if you are the lucky winner of this Beautiful Railroad Grade Pocket Watch!
The Dial is a Beautiful White, Double Sunk, HG = Heavy Gothic, Porcelain Dial. It has beautiful Steel Blue Hands, and second hand. The dial reads HAMILTON. This dial is in great condition. There are No hairlines or chips, just a really BEAUTIFUL dial. The front and back covers screw on and off nicely, very smooth! This Dial has also been cleaned, back and front, before being put back on the watch.
The Beautiful VERY hard to find, Hamilton Case Model #6 reads, 14K GOLD FILLED, -HAMILTON- RAILROAD MODEL, with the Hamilton Seal at the top. #716109Take a close look at this beautiful case!!This case has all matching numbers. The glass crystal is NEW. The Bow is nice and tight.The covers screw on and off so easy, like SILK! It does have a couple of the little dings NO scratches that a watch can get while being worn working on the railroad. If you look really close at the pictures you can see on the high spots on the case frame a little brassing starting. Nothing that a good jewelers rouge cloth will not take care of. You can find this case on page 235 of the 2012 Price Guide. All in all this is just one of the more BEAUTUIFUL 14K gold filled Railroad Pocket Watches, and a BEAUTIFUL “MUST” addition to any fine watch collection.
