O.P. Co. (Onondaga Pottery Company) Syracuse China, Canterbury pattern – pretty hard to find – since this dates from between 1897 and 1926, and the vintage Good Housekeeping Magazine ad that I have included in this lot is from September 1914, touting the pluses of O.P. Co. Syracuse china – and it shows the Canterbury Pattern.
I’m not an expert in dishes, just got into collecting Syracuse for a while….but these all look good to me. I don’t see any cracks or chips. The only thing noticeable is – in the last photo – the vegetable dish has a bit of a stain about halfway up the inside toward one end. I haven’t tried to clean it – probably just from a silver utensil or something. This lot includes a dinner plate, the large vegetable dish, a small sauce or berry bowl, and a nice-sized cup and saucer.
If you have questions, let me know. I will pack this carefully and send priority mail.
