1912 Autocar wood body. This is a rare and eye catching antique vehicle that has all the wood in its original form and in excellent shape. The opposed twin with magneto ignition is simplicity itself. External valve mechanisms stroke away while the engine runs making this engine a joy to watch. Everything is in excellent running condition. The running gear is drive-ready. The wood work from the wheels to the body is nothing short of fantastic! This truck has a sound all it’s own! Put this ‘ol girl in a parade and watch the faces of old and young light up! this engine a joy to watch. Everything is in excellent running condition. The

Summary / Comments: – This vehicle was complete restored by a
previous owner as evidenced by photos taken by the restorer. Because the photos are color, it is
difficult to determine the original body style. If the photos are representative of the
original, the body would have been a wood frame with canvas side curtains,
similar to the style of the current body, just an older vintage. Photos of the photos were taken. The current owner purchased the vehicle
restored with no body. This is an
excellent restoration and has been stored indoors, and trailered to
shows. It runs well per the owner and
sales agent. It would be a # 1 vehicle
except for the lack of engine detailing.

Rating Definitions:
Condition Rating 1 (Excellent):
Almost always a
“body off†restoration or an untouched, factory-perfect, piece that is very
close to perfect. All components are either original or appear as new and are
fully operational. This car is a top show winner and is not driven, but
transported to shows by trailer. This car is almost “one of a kindâ€. This
particular class of vehicle is very rare. The vehicle is completely detailed,
including the engine compartment, interior trim, wiring, suspension, paint, and
frame. Ideally, this vehicle has been judged with other vehicles in its class
and achieved the highest point ratings.
