please excuse the dust in the pictures the finish is smooth as silk
The amount of reflectivety you get from the wood grain on lures done like this is just to hard to describe with words and the glare of the ultra high gloss poly clear coat keeps you from showing it in the pictures also…..i take 50 pictures and whildled them down to these and still the pics just do not do the lure justice…….

This WAS an original Wooden Heddon Minnow that was beyond repair and was useless…
THE COLORS AND STYLE ARE SO THAT THEY CANT BE MISTAKEN

ALL OTHER LURES ARE ORIGINAL AND UNTOUCHED OTHER THAN CLEANING
i decided to remove the paint because it had seen better days…..
so i concocted the stain that i am calling “just red”….stained the lure and dried it for 3 days……
then i steel wooled it with micro wool and dipped it in high grade marine Polyurethane clear coat
dried that for 3 days…….
then i repeat that at least 5 coats with steel wool between each coat and 3 days between coats…..

NOW THATS A LOT OF WORK……
