Item Description; Super Group of five, 1800’s, antique, gold and gold plated pencils. The group consists of; four victorian gold pencils, one is a combination dipping pen & pencil. The four are unmarked but test as gold. The pencils have intaglio seal ends. One pencil appears to be gold plated. I will try to describe as much as possible, but if any further photos are required please email.
The combination pen and pencil, tests as gold. Super quality with lead present and concealled pencil slide. Superb order.
The larger pencil tests a gold, plain chalcedony seal end, there is no lead present, some dings and dents, small faint hairline split starting at slide, minor but noted for accuracy. Measures 4 & 5/8 inches in length approx. [extended].
Two further gold pencils, both with seal intaglios, one shield shaped, the other engraved with name ‘Edith" or Eliz’? One with engraved inscription and dated 1855, one has a split to one part, both are lacking lead.
Finally the last pencil is gold plated and is in damaged condition, lacking its pencil part. Dings and dents.
