SUPERB ANTIQUE STYLE BRASS HORSE HOOF VESTA CASE, PENDANT , MATCH STRIKER UNDER
Description:
A
superb little novelty brass vasta case in the form of a horses hoof. The loop ring would allow it to be worn on a fob chain. The horse shoe is on a hinge, opening to reveal the match storage compartment. The lig has a ribbed section to provide a match striker. The hinge is holding strong and the lid snaps tightly shut. I’m unsure of it’s age but would estimate late 19th, early 20th Century.
Condition:
In excellent overall condition, showing only light tarnishing to the brass on the outside and a darkened patina to the inside. Please see the images provided which
complement this description.
