It’s Summer already… not that we had much of a winter. Anyway, it’s time to get a good straw to wear for the hot weather and here is a good one for ya.
The Particulars
This “genuine Panama” Stetson is of the “Premier” quality designation which was supposed to be a middle-priced hat in Stetson Straws in the 1940s I think. The weave is, I am told by a collector, a “Brisa” weave, but I have no knowledge about Panama weaves. This hat is complete and is not cracked, torn, ripped or dented. It has a back pugaree-styled ribbon and the brim is a generous 2-3/4 inches.
