For Auction: Armand Marseille 370 Antique Doll 24 inches tall
Not all Armand Marseille’s 370’s have such a lovely look as this doll. She is probably one of the early ones since her eyes are straight and so are her four teeth. Her thick eyebrows are very nicely painted and evenly positioned over her azure blue eyes and darkly painted eyelashes. Nicely rounded rosy cheeks and a dimpled chin complete this sweet expression doll. Thick medium brown hair complete with a multitude of fat sausage ringlets . Her kid leather body is in great condition shape wise but with multiple staining of the leather (none of which is noticeable once the doll is dressed). I cleaned the leather so nothing will rub off and there are no odors to her. Her hands and arms are of bisque but again, the doll must be an earlier version since they are so nicely sculpted. Much nicer than the average arms and hands on most bisque dolls (please see pictures). No damage to either hands or fingers. She measures about 24 inches from the top of her head to the tip of her toes. She is marked Armand Marseilles, 370, AM-3-DEP on the back. Dress is slightly stained but in good condition otherwise. A great cabinet size doll for your collection and a very pretty AM 370 example.
