is an original vintage cast iron owl hanging lantern dating from the 1950’s. Great abstract form and design. Has a metal hanger on the top and is a larger version. The lantern is made out of cast iron and has some light surface wear to the paint as seen below. Holds a candle and has a piece that removes on the bottom to put the candle in. In excellent shape with no chips, no cracks, no nicks, no repairs and displays well. Measures 10 1/2 inches tall(without the metal hanger)by 6 inches wide. Weight is 6 pounds unpacked. Very rare Mid Century Modern owl figurine and is a must for any Eames era interior or collector. Found safely stored away for years at a recent 80 year estate. Please check my other auctions for other vintage items from the same estate. The glare spots are from the lights reflection and NOT on the actual surface of the item(color is excellent).
