Old antique violin by Robert Kinney 1918, LOB 358 mm. This violin is a very nice find, a Del Gesu model instrument made by a New Jersey maker almost 100 years ago. It remains in very good shape, with no cracks at all. It has a beautiful big mellow sound with very nice resonance, a true old deep sound that you would not find in a violin made today. Not only would you not get this sound quality, but also a violin of this class would cost around $15,000 to $17,000.
