Head is 11 3/4 inches; scale is 27 inches.
DESCRIPTION
Orpheum tenors are common; genuine original 5 strings are pretty rare. Original tuners; hooks; tail. Good skin head. Sturdy straight neck takes medium strings just fine. All parts are in good condition. Original archtop tone ring gives her a bright percussive sound– very much sought after by clawhammer/ frailing players. Nice setup. Ready to play just as-is. I will include a modern 13 inch chipboard case for shipping.
CONDITION
100 years of having the heck played out of it. Note fretboard wear in the first position– a cosmetic issue but does not affect play or intonation. Worn nickle on some of the hardware. But everything functions as it is supposed to. Well loved but good for many more years of service.
