In this auction, we are offering an Antique Art Deco Souvenir Icon from a turn-of-the-century pilgrimage to the Carmelite Monastery at Lisieux which had been home to Saint Therese of the Child Jesus.
This tiny Icon measures about 1.25” and features a Medallion of the Little Flower in the center.
Around her head, it reads:
Sancta Theresia a Jesu Infant
The artist has signed the Medallion:   Fr M Bernard R
I am not sure what metal was used in designing this Icon ~ the backing looks like copper and the Medallion, itself, has a beautiful, natural golden “gilt” look.
What is MOST unique about this beautiful antique devotional are the Face and Hands of the Little Flower which are made of WHITE IVORY.
Please take a very close look at the photos to see this gorgeous detail for yourself.
You will also notice some chipping to the bottom edge of the Medallion’s frame but that is its only flaw.
