is a beautiful, art nouveau solid sterling silver dresser jar or jewelry box by TIFFANY & CO. The box is in excellent, near mint condition which is very rare. There is only one very small ding on the side of the lid that I could not see, but I could feel it. It is also NOT MONOGRAMMED!! So, you could have your own initials engraved on the top if desired. The interior of the jar has a beautiful gold wash. The jar measures 3 1/4″ tall and has a 3 3/8″ diameter. It is a nice large size, and is VERY heavy at 238 grams or 8.4 regular ounces. The bottom surface is clearly marked “Tiffany & Co., 17523 Makers 3582, Sterling Silver, 925-1000 M. The M is a date mark for Directorship of John Moore II, 1907-1947. I would date this jar between 1907-1910.
