This listing is for a sweet stuffed cat that has been hand made by me for your primitive decorating! He would look delightful sitting on a bench or in a small old chair or rocker. He would also look great against the pillows on a bed. The cat is a “leaner” and does not stand on its own.
The cat is made out of an antique cutter quilt piece with a log cabin pattern and is backed with a muslin print. He has been stuffed firmly to hold his shape. I hand stitched the face and the eyes are vintage buttons. When the sewing and stuffing was completed, I stained the cat with a coffee/vanilla mixture and he dried to a perfectly prim and aged appearance.
The cat’s whiskers are stiffened linen thread. I tied a double strand of grungied jute twine around his neck together with a vintage advertising card with the picture of a cat on the front. The stuffed cat measures about 13″ tall and about 8″ wide, across the bottom.
