This is one of the best looking moorcroft vases ive seen, its one of the earlier pieces by james macintyre, fully marked and signed on the base, it measures about 31cm high which is about 12″ high, surely a very rare example, the design is stunning, colours are beautiful, im sure it will be a long time before a better one turns up, ive had a good look at it and cant see any chips or cracks but on very close inspection it appears the base section where it joins the main body looks to have been broken off and stuck back on, its very difficult to spot unless you are looking very closely then only very fine marks can be seen, im sure you could have it restored even better for just a few pounds and there wopuld be no trace at all. viewing is highly recommended as photos dont do it justice, it came with some more very good quality pieces im listing such as della robia etc.
