There are many fabulous illustrations. Each have onion skin covers with the details of the illustration, and additional small illustrations on the onion skin.

Many Illustrations are full color.

These books are gorgeous.  Each binding is an authorized facsimile of the original art on each country’s copy of the Versailles Peace Treaty.  There is an explanation of the binding in the first pages of each volume.

There are gorgeous gilt details…

There are many beautiful and interesting rare maps.

Here are just a few of the Chapters contained in the set.  The research is copious and extraordinary, with beautiful, poignant illustrations, and a collection of maps which would be difficult to assimilate today.  The maps are especially interesting because of the way the European Community has changed and evolved.
