Charles F. Horne achieved notoriety as a historian and editor. This set constitutes one of his most generous and noteworthy contributions to history and literature. He supervised the creation and personally edited each of the histories contained in this set.
There are many fabulous illustrations. Each have onion skin covers with the details of the illustration, and additional small illustrations on the onion skin.
Many Illustrations are full color.
These books are gorgeous. Each binding is an authorized facsimile of the original art on each country’s copy of the Versailles Peace Treaty. There is an explanation of the binding in the first pages of each volume.
