For auction is a RARE TIFFANY & CO Platinum & 18K Yellow Gold Emerald and Diamond Ring. We date this ring to the first quarter of the 20th century. The center of this ring features one of the finest color and clarity emeralds that we have ever owned. The emerald cut emerald measures in the setting 0.85cts. The color is a vivid deep true green and the clarity there are a few light clear inclusions that can be seen with a jewelers loupe. This is an antique ring and there is some minor wear to the stone (surface blemish on the surface at the corner of the top facet).
Set on either side are old European cut diamonds that measure 0.39 and 0.40cts respectively. The diamonds display a clarity of VVS2-VS1 and a color of H.
Total gemstone weight approximately 1.64cts.
The ring is a size 7 1/2 and weighs 2.1 DWT or 3.2 Grams
SIGNED: The ring is signed on the inside TIFFANY & CO (please see photos). We acid tested and confirmed that the setting is platinum with an 18K yellow gold head for the emerald
CONDITION: The ring is in excellent antique condition. Very minor surface abrasions to the emerald only visible under 10X magnification, only noting to be more than completely thorough. Very minor scratches to the platinum as to be expected with a piece that is previously owned. Please see photos.
