Here is a Spanish Colonial (Mexican) pierced hilt sword dating to about 1750. Includes the leather scabbard and shoulder strap. The sword is 34″ long with a 28″ blade. Handle and guard are tight. Wonderful fancy engraving on the hilt. The handle and guard are solid, hilt has some play in it. The scabbard may not be original to the sword but was made for it early 19th century.
