RARE Antique Character WWI Wilhelm II on Barrel /Horse Ceramic German Beer Stein
Once again, Hidden Treasures was fortunate enough to obtain a collection of many different beer steins, including classic German lidded steins, collector’s pieces, Mettlach, and several other choice styles! Most of these steins are in mint or near-mint condition, so make sure to check out the other steins up for offer this week as we share this wonderful collection with you!
This stein is a wonderful rare find that features a World War I era Wilhelm II of Germany astride a beer barrel “horse!” He is holding an HB mug and sword and wearing a monocle, giving him the comical air of someone who is most likely quite inebriated! This stein was most likely made between 1908 and 1930, after Wilhelm II had been disgraced in his native Germany. The stein has a pewter thumblift and ceramic sword handle, and is in wonderful near MINT condition, making this unique piece a treasure to add to any collection!
