This 8 inch, antique, wooden gorilla was used in both Schoenhut’s Circus and Teddy Roosevelt’s Safari sets. Having a replaced or repainted head with new leather ears, he is well-strung, and exactly as pictured. Brown in color, the paint of his body does appear to be original. His unique features include separate thumbs and similar projections on the inside of each foot. Ingenious slits beneath his pink-soled feet allow him to climb and be posed in numerous ways. Unfortunately, neither the cage nor Lila, the misfit inside, are included in the sale.

If you have the choice between Priority or parcel post, you would be wise to choose Priority Mail, especially if the item is fragile or expensive.
