A rare and interesting sterling
silver filigree cigarette / cheroot case. It is unmarked as was common but
tests as high grade silver. It style particularly the engraved cartouche date
it to the 19th century, conservatively c1880 but possibly quite
a bit earlier. It has been beautifully made and cleverly designed having its
top hinged allowing more easy access. Its front has been decorated with a
cartouche engraved TB or BT. It is in perfect condition being free from dings
splits and repairs – note all the filigree work is complete. It measures a
touch under 3 inches (7.4cms) long by a fraction under 2 inches (5cms) wide and
weighs 49 grams. A stunning high quality rare piece.

Please note if an item arrives damaged (it has not happened yet) please retain all the packaging including the original brown paper as the Royal Mail can refuse to pay out if this is missing.
