This auction is for an exceptionally MINT 18k gold open face chain driven pocket watch made by Lewis Samual – Liverpool with magnificent gold dial and 18k gold case. The watch has serial number 14172 on case and movement and hallmarks for 18k and date 1841. Movement is chain driven with lever escapement and is in mint shape. Works well keeps good time. It is key wind from the back and key set from the front. The 18k dial is exceptional fine with golden hour numbers and three collor gold decoration. The case is in perfect condition and measures 41.2 mm in diameter, excluding bow. Only the bow is 9k for more strength. Covers open and close perfect. Total weight is 55gr.
