Period Art Deco Copper Lamp Base
A remarkable, and very heavy Art Deco period lamp base made from copper. It measures 17-1/8 inches tall, has twin sockets with pull chains and a very unusual textured finish on the body. It’s accented by detailed handles and perimeter beading and patterns around the base and upper ring. This is from a collectors estate and has been in their possession most likely since the late 20’s or 30’s. My guess is it has been re-wired at some point in time. These usually have cloth wiring. The base is in very good condition with no damage. There is one dent on the copper stem above the base and the fixture works. It has not been cleaned and retains the original patina.
