I am pleased to offer this antique German bisque head doll in need of a little finger & paint restorations on the body.Incised on the back of head is “1894, A M,0 DEP”. Reference attributes to German doll maker Armand Marseille 1880 to 1915 for Cuno Otto & Dressel, DEP is a registered trade mark or claim used by both the French and Germans. I do not know her past restoration history but will try to describe her the best I can with any flaws. This doll measures 14-1/2″ tall being a bisque socket head on composition wooden body. Strung fine she is jointed at the neck, shoulders, elbows, wrists, legs and knees. Three fingers on the right hand are CHIPPED off, one little finger tip on the left hand is CHIPPED off. Body needs some repaint especially on the arms as shown in my photos. This doll has a beautiful little face with open and close blue glass sleepy eyes that work fine. A little dirt on the very corner of the right eye, the wax is worn off on the eye lids, she has painted black lashes around her eyes, brown brows and open mouth with upper teeth all intact. There is a little dimple in her chin. I removed the pate from her head to examine and do not see any cracks, a little paint wear around the upper head, I see plaster cement inside the head that was used to secure the sleepy eyes on rocker as most doll people use. Wears a human hair auburn brown wig that is glued on a pate that slips over her head. Wig does not look antique but is charming. She wears vintage pink silk dress with lace trim with button down the back, pantaloons, stockings and white shoes. Her stockings are torn at the top. Included is her newer little “Teddy bear”. I have taken plenty of photos, please look at my photos they will serve as part of this description. If you would like further photos or have questions email please.
