Years ago I purchased this beautiful 1860’s wall pocket from a large mansion in Grand Rapids Michigan. It is in good condition with finely carved walnut wood. On the back is a glued note. The note is typed via a old type writter. The note states the following:This wall pocket was acquired by Albert and Etta Shirley in Warren Pennsylvania before 1890. From there it was moved to Marion Indiana in 1903. Schenectady in 1911, and Detriot in 1935. Item is about 17″ wide and 30″ tall. There are some scratches and nicks, but that is to be expected from a item 150 years old.
