K162 APPLETON WATCH CO (FORMERLY CHESHIRE WATCH CO.) 18 SIZE 7J PENDANT SET OPEN FACE POCKET WATCH IN SIGNED APPLETON CASE.
THE NEAR MINT NICKEL FINISHED MOVEMENT HAS ONLY MINOR SPOTTING AND IS MARKED APPLETON WATCH CO, APPLETON WI., SERIAL NUMBER 90,675 CIRCA 1903. THE STEM IS ATTACHED TO THE MOVEMENT, NOT THE CASE. THERE IS MINOR CORROSION ON THE REGULATOR.
THE SCREW-BEZEL, SOLID-BACK YELLOW GOLD-FILLED CASE IS IN NEAR MINT CONDITION WITH ONLY A FEW TINY SPOTS ON THE BEZEL. THE CASE IS MARKED APPLETON W C CO., GUARN’T 15 YEARS. THE WATCH IS FITTED WITH A BULLS-EYE CRYSTAL.
THE WHITE PORCELAIN DIAL WITH BLACK ROMAN HOUR FIGURES IS IN FAIR CONDITION WITH MANY HAIRLINES SHOWING AND A PREVIOUS REPAIR BETWEEN 2 O’CLOCK AND 3 O’CLOCK. THE WATCH HAS BEAUTIFUL BLUED HANDS.
WATCH LOOKS TO BE IN RUNNING ORDER BUT NOT CHECKED FOR TIMING ACCURACY………..
