For your consideration is this wonderful Chinese bronze immortal or Luohan figure sitting on a naturally casted rock. Superbly done. Just look at his realistic facial expression and the way the rock was formed, which is rare for a Chinese bronze. This is an important piece because both the immortal’s name and the artist’s name were signed on the back. Most likely over one dozen such figures with different names were originally casted for a famous temple in China. It will be an exciting and rewarding adventure to track down the rest of the immortals from the same set. Don’t miss.
