STUNNING 32″ CIVIL WAR CHINA HEAD DOLL – -BREATHTAKING CLOTHES AND FACE!

Offered for your consideration is one huge, and very heavy, 32″ Civil War China Head Doll.
This beautiful old girl was purchased at a great antique doll estate preview….she was lounging on an old rocker and I scooped her up quick!
HEAD: Middle parted black civil war style hairdo with nice brush strokes and delightful sausage curls. There are some curl rub offs, especially on some back curls. Complexion is pale with pale blush… There are a few pepper spots and some very light freckle spots (ALL VERY, VERY DIFFICULT TO NOTICE). Eyebrows are dark and nicely single stroked. Red liner in eyelid crease, dark upper lined eyelids, blue eyes and black pupils (NO WHITE IRIS). “Satisfied” looking red lips with darker red in between lips. Interesting detail is the realistic bulge at forehead’s end near eye ends. I hope you can see what I am talking about in the photos.
ISSUE: I AM NOT CERTAIN IF THERE HAS BEEN A REPAIR AT LOWER NECK AREA- THERE IS ANY AREA THAT IS NOT AS SMOOTH – COULD BE IN THE MANUFACTURE 0R COULD BE AN EXCELLENTLY DONE REPAIR. I HAVE TRIED TO TAKE A PICTURE OF IT BUT CAMERA DOESN’T DETECT IT. IN FACT, IT IS NOT REALLY SEEN – JUST A BIT ROUGHER.
BODY: Nice body with long porcelain arms and perfect fingers. Great porcelain legs with wonderful black boots with side design and sole painted brown (the shoes have some rubs). I cannot remove her clothing but she is well stuffed. I was able to peek under her gown and saw brown color muslin with other fabric covering that. (see photo).
CLOTHING: GORGEOUS!!! Just lovely antique looking bonnet with dark blue velvet and flowers and lace with inner part matching the color of her gown. Tie bonnet tie is a lovely shade of blue velvet. She wears a wonderful antique look Cameo Brooch with the face of a beautiful woman wearing a choker. As you can see, her dress is marvelous with lined matching slip, antique looking white eyelet slip and matching pantaloons. Whether they were made for her I couldn’t say…..but absolutely age appropriate.
