GEORGEOUS WALTHAM KEY WIND FULLY SERVICED
This is one beautiful Waltham Key wind, running perfectly, just serviced. One of the nicest in my collection, which I am selling. There comes a time, when you just can`t keep everything you would like to. I have had this watch over 45 years, & my age dictates me selling this beautiful piece. it is just about flawlwss. THE DIAL: Mint, no issues, nice & white, with solid black numbers, no fading. CRYSTAL: It is flawless, beveled semi-dome. HANDS: They are a beautiful blue. 18S. movement, with bright guilded plates. All screw heads look as tho they have never been touched. They are blued steel. Serial number of watch indicates production in 1883. Quality supreme, no automatic computer assembly, all hand assembled by skilled craftsman who took extreme pride in their work The front bezel screws off, no issues at all, rear snaps tightly, both the dust cover, which is beautifully had jeweled, & the rear lid. CASE: By FAHYS ORESILVER (1879), tight hinges. Highy polished, no dents or dings, with a beautiful tight, unworn bow. Come with a nice chain with it`s polished key attached. I can`t imagine you ever finding a nicer one, & that`s my honest opinion. I have collected for over 50 years, & think I know what I am talking about. I am also a retired watchmaker. Why these watches seem to bring less than they did 15 years ago, is anyones guess, but am firm on my reserve, which is reasonable, for this nice of historical watch., which you will see, if you are the lucky one to win this auction. It comes with a custom plush lined case to protect it. This piece has led a pampered life of love. who ever owed it before me. Just think, no cars, no televisions, radios were just coming into being, no washing machines, no modern conveniences NO CRIME like today. When ever I look at an old timer, it reminds me of how lucky we really are (in a way). I hope you consider this Old Key Wind, for you will likely not find another, ever this nice to replace it.
