with NO RESERVE is a gorgeous and most impressive Antique English Silver Plate Monteith or Punch Bowl. The Punch Bowl is one of the most beautiful and high quality examples I have seen with amazing Hand Chased Art Nouveau Period Designs and Rococo Shell border. The Bowl is also a large impressive size, perfect for using as a Punch Bowl or as a Monteith measuring approx 9-1/2″ wide by 6″ tall and holding 12 cups, which would translate into approx 24 Punch Cups worth. If you are unfamiliar with what a Monteith is, it is designed for for rinsing your wine cups, perfect if you are having a Wine tasting party. The Bowl would also be perfect filled with Ice. The Bowl is in beautiful condition on the outside and displays beautifully, there is quite a bit of plate wear on the inside, but it is just Copper, if you know a replating company this would be a great candidate for re-plating as it would look absolutely stunning ! The Bowl is marked for the fine English Silver Company Charles Howard Collins and would date to the late Victorian Period. This is a real beauty and I am sure examples like this do not come up for auction often, especially with no reserve !! The last photo shows two wine glasses to display how it would work as a Monteith, they are NOT included.

Returns:
We make great effort to accurately describe each item listed. Returns are accepted, if either condition, country of origin or dating we state is significantly incorrect. In such cases we refund your shipping costs as well. Like you, we are only human, and make mistakes. Hopefully, not too many. But remember, the items you see are antiques. Hence, have an expected amount of wear from normal use. As such, returning an item because we failed to mention the tiniest bit of wear, or barely discernible flaw is not acceptable. Nor do we accept returns based on buyer’s remorse, change of taste, or because a buyer did not realize how “small” four inches might be once in hand. Also all returns must be posted within 3 days of delivery confirmation.
