A fine quality antique 19th. century Chinese Mother of Pearl shell profusely and well carved with figures, horses, pavilions, fishes and a boat within a mountainous landscape, circa 1850 to 1860. The back is lightly engraved with bees and flowers. It is in good, undamaged condition with no chips,cracks or repairs. It does not have a wooden stand. It measures about 8.75 by 8 inches (22.5 by 20.5 cm.)
