offered here is a magnificent large 18/s fob watch (era 1910 ), this is a fully closed 3 lid hunter type, gold/filled and is absolute mint, very hard to find in this superb original condition, genuine antique 102 years old, maker (U.S. ELGIN WATCH CO. ) inside and working perfectly, is a 15 jewel movt. that has been fully serviced, cleaned, oiled and timed.

watch  case  description —– the watch case is gold/filled and is in pristine original condition, this is a fully closed 3 lid hunter type, all lids open and close tightly, and the hinges are perfect,the front and back lids have very attractive embossed art work, making this a spectacular case in every aspect.


case  measurements —- 55 mm. with out the stem/crown and bow.


  75 mm. with the stem/crown and bow.


please notice when viewing the photos, i have placed a fifty cent coin along side the case, to give a more accurate idea, of the actual size. 


watch  dial  description —- the watch dial is porcelain, white in colour and is in mint original condition, no cracks, chips or hair-lines.


all the black arabic numerals are perfectly clear and have no defects.


the original dark blue steel spade hands, , no issues.


sub/second dial at number 6, is in working order and has no defects.


the watch glass is (GLASS ) visually very clear and is flawless. 


watch  movement  description —the watch movement is a mechanical wind, made by the prestigious U.S. watch co. (ELGIN )


movt. specifications —- lever/set stem/wind —class 105 —-grade 316 — model 2/4 —15 jewels —size 18/s—-full nickle plate—movt. serial number 14285201 dates this watch to circa 1910.


movt. condition — perfect working with a very strong motion, as this movt. has been fully serviced, cleaned, oiled and timed, a full wind of the spring, will give 24+ hours of excellent time keeping.


HOW TO SET THE TIME /  PLEASE READ BELOW


this is a lever /set movement, to set the time pull out the lever at number 5, (see photos for detail ) then turn the crown clock-wise to move the hands to correct time, having done that push the lever back, then wind the crown clock-wise to wind the movt.
