Early Rockford Keywind, Private Label Movement.
This antique keywind American pocket watch movement is 18 size. The movement is marked “Bell & Bros.” and “San Antonio, Texas.” and “No. 4667” which of course is the early, early serial number. This was made by the Rockford Watch Co. The movement is in nice cosmetic condition but with some of the gilt gone and some dullness to the brass. The steel parts have some very minor spiderwebbing – keep in mind my images are magnified. The movement has 7 jewels. The staff is good, but thisis overbanked and does not run, so this is sold as a non-running movement in need of repair. The dial is marked “Rockford Watch Co. Illinois”. The dial is usable with an edge chip that will end up being under the bezel, and some scattered light scratches. Scarce TEXAS keywind private label worth fixing up.
