ABOUT MY BUTTON AUCTIONS
This collection came from an estate in Augusta, Maine in the mid-1980’s. A wonderful variety of beautiful and interesting buttons and a majority are in very nice condition! I have pulled those with any significant damage. As would be expected, there are signs of wear due to age and use (although many appear to be unused). PLEASE use pictures to identify and determine condition.I know a little about buttons but not a lot. Feel free to ask (or share info if you’d like)! I DO NOT test for bakelite and such .. I would hate to ruin a button! I will list this entire collection in lots (primarily by material) until I get to the “everything not yet sold” big lot!

Fabulous mixed lot of 20 antique and vintage small metal buttons!
Really lovely! These buttons range in size from 1/2″ to 3/4″ in diameter. Two wonderful dragon buttons, a geisha with a fan, a knight in armor in a turret, a crown, grapes, florals, a bright-cut steel, plus! The 2 whirligig pattern buttons are identical but have different finishes .. one is a blue-black color. There’s a pretty and ornate twinkle and another filigree has a ‘steely green’ colored background. I believe 7 are all steel as they don’t stick to a magnet. Others appear to be brass and at least one looks like copper.
