Beautiful Antique Handsewn VELVET DOLL BONNET Millinery Flowers RIbbon
Stunning antique little hand-sewn doll bonnet for your French fashion or similar old doll. This is a beauty, especially the colors! The bonnet is made of velvet millinery flowers and leaves as depicted in the photo, there is a dark navy blue grosgrain ribbon bow at the top of bonnet and then at the back of bonnet which forms streamers down the back, gorgeous velvet millinery flowers make up the bonnet and are constructed along the head opening with loops of coral silk cording that forms loops around head opening through which blue ribbon runs through. It is hard to describe but you can see this construction on the inside photo of bonnet, inside opening has cheesecloth lning, coral and cinnamon shades of flowers with little sprig enters, soft pale green silk ribbon bows and ecru leaves. Good condition for age, measures 4″ across one outer edge to other, 3 1/2″ across head opening and 9″ around inside head opening. The head opening could be made bigger due to the fact that the blue ribboning forms the outer edge of brim so this could be let out to make it bigger to fit a slightly larger head opening.
