Here For Auction is a Beautiful Antique Hallmarked Victorian Silver “The Farringdon” Open Face Pocket Watch Dated 1888. Comes With Key.

This lovely silver pocket watch No 158672 has a Birmingham Hallmark “O” (1888)  0.925 silver, it is in near perfect condition, the hinges and the catches are good, both back and front close together, there are no dints or scratches, and just some lovely even pocket wear.

It has a new mineral glass fitted. The lovely white dial signed “The Farringdon” has no chips, stains, or hairlines. it as golden spear and whip hands with black Roman numerals and outer minute track with a sub seconds dial at 6  o,clock,  the watch measures 41.5mm across x 21mm thick. The silversmiths mark is W.E. For William Ehrhardt, of Time Works, Bar Street Hockley, Birmingham, & Hatton Garden, London. 

The English full plate going barrel movement No 158672 Signed “The Farringdon” has an English lever escapement, it is running well and keeping reasonable good time. (Looses a little as it runs down)

This Truly is a Beautiful Victorian Antique Collectors Watch. (This watch is aimed at collectors or people who know how to handle it, it is 114 years old and is delicate, wind only in an anti clock wise direction – looking down on the back of the watch) and stop as soon as resistance is felt, when setting the time please try not to press down on the hands).
