Description
This is a16 size Ball Watch Co. model 435C “Official RR Standard”. The Ball Watch Co. did not manufacture watches but did help formulate the specifications of watches used for railroad service. Webb C. Ball was the general time inspector for over 125,000 miles of railroad. Case is the original stirrip bow as supplied with this watch from the manufacturer. The porcelain single sunk dial is in immaculate condition, free of any chips or cracks. Signed “TRADE MARK, OFFICIAL RR STANDARD, CLEVELAND” below the 12 marker. Original blued steel hands with sub-second hand at the 6 position. Crown is at the 12 position. Stem wind; lever set. Movement is a “The Ball Company” signed model 435C, a 21 jewels Swiss manual wind adjusted to temperature and isochronism and 6 positions. Signed “Ball Official RR Standard Keystone Watch Co. J.Boss 10K Goldfilled 9855184” on the interior of the case back. Overall condition of the watch is very good, however there are normal signs of wear such as light scratches throughout. Plating on the exterior of the case back is brassing. This watch operates properly, and keeps good time. THERE IS NO RESERVE!!!!!!

PICK-UP:
Item must be picked up within 7 days from the close of the auction at our El Paso location. Payment must be received before pick-up can be scheduled.

SHIPPING:
Winning bidder is responsible for shipping charges. We are more than happy to accommodate combined shipping requests.
All orders shipped by USPS except for large items. Foreign buyers, please be aware that you may incur a brokerage fee upon delivery, and time delays in Customs.
We charge a packaging fee only to cover our costs of materials and labor.
RETURNS:
All items sold AS-IS.We accept returns only if the item was not as described in the auction. Buyer must contact us within 3 days of receipt of the item and return the item within 10 days; buyer is responsible for return shipping charges.
