ART- NOUVEAU – WMF SILVER PLATED RELIEF BACCHUS GOD OF WINE & CHILD CARD WALL PLAQUE/TRAY
Up for sale is this exceptional Art-Nouveau wall plaque/tray produced by WMF. Cast in silver plate in relief work,it depicts a Cherub paying homage to Bacchus the God of Wine with a pierced design to the sides. In exceptional condition the item, is fully maked with the WMF factory mark, and also has the No.368B. On first reflection it appears to be a tray, but it has a small link for display purposes which tells me that it was originally made as a display piece. The link is original to the piece and not a later edition.
