This auction is for a piece of China from the Worlds Fair that was held in 1904 in St. Louis.  It was made by Bisto in England. It has a logo on the front.  It shows an elephant, palm trees and a strange looking building.  It is circled with there red concentric red circles.  On the top inside of the red circles reads, “Ceylon Court”, the bottom reads, “St. Louis 1904”.  Below the circle there is a ribbon that reads, “Real Ceylon Tea”.  It is in good condtion.  There is a very small, shallow chip on the underside of the spout.  There is crazing as well.  Some of it is discolored under the spout.

The St Louis Missouri hosted the 1904 the Worlds Fair which was a celebration of the Louisiana Purchase.  I am told that these pieces are hard to find and rare.  We have several other pieces that we will be listing so please check out our other auctions.

I have included lots of photos which can be enlarged.
