Antique Watermans Ideal Eyedropper 12 with Sterling silver overlay

Antique Watermans Ideal Eyedropper 12 with Sterling silver overlay

Antique I am in the process of moving, so over the course of the next few weeks I will be listing several items including an antique pen and pencil collection that I had started years ago.  I am by no means an expert, but will describe items as best I can and will gladly field questions.
This item is a Waterman’s Ideal Eyedropper Fountain Pen with sterling silver overlay.  The number 12 is on the bottom.    Cap looks to be original as wear is consistent.  On the clip is written “Clip Cap Sterling Ideal”  then the date ” Pat Sept. 26, 05.   There are fine scratches as one would expect with use, then a few deeper ones towards the bottom.  I tried to show these in pictures.   Nib is on the pen is semi-flexible and states “Waterman’s Ideal” Appears to have some iridium.  I have not used or tried to write with this pen, nor have I polished it or tried to clean it up in any way.  (I typically just leave these pens in their natural state as anything else should be left to those who know what they are doing.)   The Overlay of the pen  does not have any name or initials inscribed, but there is a place to add your own.  Just below the cap, on the overlay, is written “Waterman’s Ideal Fountain Pen, then towards the bottom of the overlay it is stamped “Sterling”.  The pen (cap included) is 5 3/16 inches long and 3/8 inches wide.  Truly a beautiful Pen.  Please let me know if you have .  I do work during the day, but will gladly answer questions or post more pictures in the evenings.
