Original Sydney Laurence Tinted Photo!

Here is an original Hand Colored-Hand Tinted Sydney Laurence (1865-1940) Colored Print. This is from 1940 and has a BEATIFUL antique Pie Crust Frame!
This lovely piece of art is of a trapper and his cabin during the Alaska Gold Rush-very typical of Laurence’s work and the reason he left Europe for Alaska. Laurence’s painting were in demand and the average person could not afford his work, so the hand colored photo was done instead. Laurence was a very well respected Pacific Northwest Artist and his works are very sought after.
On the back this says:
Tinted (in photo oils), photographic print of oil painting by Sydney Laurence done by Bragaw’s Studios of Anchorage, Alaska. Signature of Sydney Laurence not visible on picture but appears in lower right hand corner-date appears to be 1940.”
The PIE CRUST frame alone is beautiful and highly collectible also, so keep that in mind when bidding 🙂
Measures approximately 9 3/4″ x 11 3/4″.
In some cases I may raise the starting bid or enter a reserve after a couple of days if there are no bids placed.
